Wai-con 2013 | Madman Entertainment Panel Sees Them Announce Three New Titles

-

With the final days worth of activities going on at Wai-con 2013 in Perth as I post this – this also means that anime publishers are holding their panels where they generally announce their new titles which they generally intend to release in some shape or form this year. Madman Entertainment held their panel earlier today and came out announcing their acquisition of three new titles – Toriko, Planzet and Jormungand.

More information on all three titles can be read below:

TorikoToriko

In the world where the taste and texture of food are very important there is Toriko, a hunter of precious foods regularly hired by restaurants and the rich. A man with inhuman skills to capture the ferocious, evasive and rare animals to complete his ultimate dinner course and then the chef Komatsu, his current accomplice: a weak timid person who was inspired by Toriko’s greatness and accompanies him on all his journeys on his quest for the course of his life.

PlanzetPlanzet

In 2047, an unknown, alien life-form descends upon the Earth, destroying all the major cities in one fell swoop. The survivors unite and build a Diffusor to stop the Februus, the invaders the military would later codename the FOS, and a temporary peace is achieved. Jump forward to 2053, the present. PLANZET: The final plan, Plan Zed, to retake Planet Earth. A last, desperate counterattack against the enemy. Hiroshi Akishima, soldier in the Planetary Defense Forces Alliance, would like nothing better than a shot at the aliens responsible for his father’s death six years ago. However, the new offensive requires the Diffusor to be dropped, leaving the entire planet terribly vulnerable once more. Will humanity regain the stars or lose everything in the final, ultimate gamble?

JourJormungand

A ruthless arms dealer on a quixotic quest for world peace. A child soldier born into chaotic conflict. Their lives will intertwine as they journey together through the seedy underbelly of the world’s arms market.

All three titles have been released or acquired by North American companies Funimation Entertainment or Sentai Filmworks. All three should feature an English dub cast however at the present time no formal information on release date or distribution format is known.
