Alongside their normal releases, Madman Entertainment have over the last couple of years been occasionally picking up series which some might consider “Cheez TV” titles, or anime/cartoons which were shown on the popular kids TV morning show Cheez TV in Australia. These titles include Card Captor Sakura which the company recently finished late-last year and Digimon: Digital Monsters which was released in two installments during 2011 and apparently was a surprise hit for the company. This led to the company acquiring the rights to the second season (Digimon: Digital Monsters 02 | Digimon Adventure 2) and the first release covering the first 25 episodes was made available late-2012.
You may be wondering just when we will be seeing the second half of the show? While release dates can change between now and then… it seems like they are aiming for an April 2013 release…. quite a while after the first collection release. As with the first it will come with just the ENGLISH dub and only on DVD.
The Digidestined are called back into action once again to put a stop to the Digimon Emperor’s iron-fisted domination over the Digital World. However, new allies and Digimon join them in this new battle. But they soon learn that the Digimon Emperor is only a pawn of a new and mysterious evil threatening the Digital World. All of which will culminate in a battle that will involve the entire all of Earth….
