Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl Complete Series Premium Edition Set For Release in January 2013 1

During their New York Comic Con panel, Nippon Ichi Software America (NIS America) announced they had acquired the distribution rights for the 2011 anime series Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko – which they intend on releasing under the title ‘Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl’. As with most of their anime acquisitions, their first release will not be a standard edition but a premium-edition only release. This Premium Edition is set to contain the following items:

  • A full-color, 36-page hardcover art book that provides must-read character information, background illustrations, an episode guide, personal interviews with the cast, director, character designer, and producer, and much more to make the viewing experience deeper and even more fulfilling!
  • Clean opening and endings, plus the Japanese commercial.
  • Their standard large slipcase to store everything in.

If you are interested…. just when will you be able to pick up this set? NIS America have announced a planned release date of the 8th January 2013. The edition will contain both Blu-ray and DVD releases of the series and will set you back approximately $69.99.

Makoto Niwa just moved to the city to live with his aunt Meme after his parents were reassigned to work overseas. He is perfectly fine with that, saying it will give him the chance to live the dream life of an adolescent boy. He keeps track of the things he does by assigning “points” to them—positive or negative—and adds them up on a regular basis to grade his adolescent life. And then he discovers Meme has a secret daughter (and self-proclaimed alien) named Erio. He finds her rolling around by the front door of Meme’s house wrapped up in a futon. It is then he realizes that his dream adolescent life will not come true, and begins a life of experiences that are out of this world.
