First Two Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movies Set for Theatrical Release in the US by Aniplex of America - Releases to Follow in Other Countries 1Aniplex of America have announced that this October, Madoka Magica fans will be treated to the first two Madoka Magica films appearing in cinemas, following the recently finished release of the TV series on DVD and Blu-ray.

The two films, entitled “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginning ” and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal are a retelling of the original TV series which has been developed for the big screen. It is hoped that both movies will regardless provide a new experience for both fans who have enjoyed the TV series or who are just seeing Madoka Magica for the first time. Both of these movies will be subtitled.

Distributed by Eleven Arts, select theaters in five major cities across the US will be having showtimes for both movies. The cost of admission will allow fans to watch both Part 1 and Part 2. For those who attend the Los Angeles showings will receive some city exclusive specials. Los Angeles ticket holders will receive select giveaways on opening night and throughout the scheduled screening times while supplies last. In addition, there will also be exclusive Madoka Magica the Movie Merchandise sold only at the Los Angeles Theater while supplies last.

There are currently plans to be three Madoka Magica films released, the first two serving as a recap to the original TV series, and the third being an original storyline. For a look at showtimes and merchandise information, check out the North American website for the show HERE.

In addition, the Japanese Madoka Magica website have announced that similar releases will take place in France, Italy, The Republic of San Marino, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore (No Australia yet).
