Madman Entertainment to Release CardCaptor Sakura Uncut From July 1

Along with Sailor Moon (Which unfortunately has not been announced yet) and Digimon (Which seasons one and two have been picked up), Cardcaptor Sakura is another “Cheez TV” anime title that has been in much demand over the last few YEARS. Madman Entertainment have unlocked another achievement in their quest to bring us anime by announcing their acquisition of Cardcaptor Sakura, which will be released in two collections beginning July.

This won’t be the English dub either, but for possibly the first time out of Japan to an English audience they will be releasing the uncut, Japanese dubbed version.

First Digimon…. Second Cardcaptor Sakura…. Next Sailor Moon?

  1. I have the R1 Geneon sub only DVD singles from a few years ago, UK import site UP1 was selling all 16 in a bundle for £100, I assume they were uncut too. Good to see it getting a new release somewhere, it’s such a great show. Still got the last 2 seasons of Sailor Moon, I’d like to own that on DVD some day.

  2. Woo!! Do we know if we’ll be getting the remastered version (read: blu-ray touched up version released a year or two back in Japan) or the Geneon version? 😀
