Funimation Entertainment today announced that they have acquired the license for broadcasting, home video, merchandising, mobile and streaming rights to the new anime series High School DxD, which is based on the light novel series by Ichiei Ishibumi. Funimation Entertainment intends to begin simulcasting on the 23rd January 2012 at 4PM CST, with further episodes simulcasted every Monday. It is their intention of releasing the series on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.
