Madman Entertainment Title Acquisitions Announced at Manifest 1

Madman Entertainment have announced a sizable collection of new acquisitions at the Manifest Convention this weekend. Three of these titles you should be rather familiar with however the other one was a rather surprising addition that I had never heard of before. The acquisition announcements are as follows:

1. Rosario + Vampire / Rosario + Vampire Capu2 – There is no slated release date other then sometime in 2012 for both seasons. The following is a synopsis taken from AnimeNewsNetwork (All synopsis are for this article)

Due to poor grades, Tsukune Aono, an average high school student, has been unable to get accepted into any private academy of his choice. By exceptional accident, the only school to accept him turns out to be anything but ordinary; the school is attended by youkai disguised as humans. Fearing for his life, he attempts to escape only to meet Moka Akashiya, a beautiful girl who just happens to be a vampire. Despite this, Tsukune decides to stay at the academy, hiding his human nature from students and teachers. Tsukune also discovers that when the rosary around Moka’s neck is removed, her true nature emerges.

2. Fairy Tail – A series that I am personally not so much interested in – however considering that there was a whole drama on the Siren Visual Facebook wall about this series (Which you can read in its entirety HERE ~Ahhh… memories~), it is good to see that it is finally going to be released and everyone can be happy! This title is slated for a January 2012 release.

Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isn’t just any ordinary kid, he’s a member of one of the world’s most infamous mage guilds: Fairy Tail.

3. Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing – – Yep, this also comes down as a new acquisition as whilst they have announced the Simulcast, they will also be recording an English dub and a retail release will be done soon after that.

4. Petlabor 1/2 OVA’s and Mobile Police Patlabor – Never heard of this series, however it has indeed been acquired as well and will be released in one complete set sometime next year.

In the future, advanced robotics has created heavy robots (“labors”) for use in a variety of functions: construction, fire-fighting, military, and more. However, though the robots are only machines, their operators are also only human—and humans sometimes turn to crime. Since a heavy labor unit can be a dangerous weapon, the police of the future are set to fight fire with fire, using advanced patrol labor units, “patlabors”. This is the story of the Second Special Vehicles Division, a motley crew of patlabor policemen and -women doing their best to fight crime and live a normal life.

and that is it, not a bad announcement haul for Madman Entertainment. Unsure if Siren Visual announced anything but will be right on if it they did. Your thoughts on their titles? Personally I am excited to see both LASTEXILE -Fam- and Rosario+Vampire released.
