After quite a few installments in the Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku) franchise being released over the last couple of years – Sega and Studio Yakuza and decided to make a few additions to the gameplay when it launches in Japan this December. While retaining gameplay systems similar to their previous releases, each of the games five playable characters will be receiving their own “Another Drama” segements where they shake up the gameplay a bit from allowing series main character Kazuma Kiryu taking part as a taxi driver to returning playable character Taiga Saejima taking part in hunting within a snowy mountain.
A big addition to this game is that Haruka Sawamura, who has appeared in every installment of the series as a non-playable storyline character will become playable. Her “Another Drama” involves ambitions to become an idol and win the Princess League Idol Contest. Differentiating from the other four characters, her battle system incorporates dance battles, taking part in certain events and so forth to increase her popularity and skills.
Above is the latest trailer released which is a sort of developer walkthrough, which spends 9 minutes running through the different systems and gameplay mechanics surrounding Haruka.
