
Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the upcoming beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale which is set to launch this weekend. If you are primarily a Playstation 3 gamer, you will be able to pick up the beta on the 17th October 2012 if you have a Playstation Plus subscription or the 24th October 2012 if you don’t. Playstation Vita users may be glad to know that you will be able to dive straight into the multiplayer beta starting tomorrow irrespective of your plus membership.
The beta will support Cross-Play, so irrespective of the version you pick up you will be able to play with gamers of the opposite console.
Specifications / Limitations of the Beta
- You can only play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa and Fat Princess.
- You can play in one of two stages – Metropolis and Hades.
- You can try out both four-player online tournaments and 2 vs 2 online tournaments. 2 v 2 games will support friend invites.
The beta will be run until the 30th October 2012.
