With Brisbane’s Supanova coming up on the weekend after next, you may be wondering what the different publishers of anime will have on offer during the three day period (9th – 11th November)… With the release of the events guide (HERE), shows just what to expect during this period in terms of announcements.
Madman Entertainment
Last Friday Madman Entertainment announced that they have “quite a few” acquisition announcements to make, and their panel is set to start at 11:10am on the Sunday. Will we see some of the newer releases announced to be headed to Australia or will they perhaps continue their run of acquiring titles such as Digimon: Digital Monsters and Cardcaptor Sakura with Sailor Moon?
In addition, their booth (79) will be hosting voice-stars Masakazu Morita, John DiMaggio and Billy West from 10:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on the Sunday.
Vic Mignogna is also set to appear at the event however will be in the “Special Guest Signing Area” this time around. The official Supanova website lists that an autograph will set you back $20 and a photograph $30 for him.
Hanabee
Hanabee had only recently formed when they started attending Supanova’s this year, and despite not having a single anime acquisition under their belt – at least at Supanova Gold Coast they managed to draw in huge crowds with their Red vs. Blue focus. This time they retain this focus whilst adding anime to the mix!
Both the Saturday and Sunday will see them hold host to Rooster Teeth starts Kathleen Zuelch, Chris Demarais and Kerry Shawcross at their booth (3). The three will also hold two panels, both held at 11am during both Saturday and Sunday sessions.
In addition, at 1:30pm on the Sunday they will be hosting a panel. While there is no word on what they will announce at the panel, a 50 minute panel might get dull without some announcements.
Siren Visual
As Siren Visual prefer to announce their acquisitions via their Facebook page and other sources, the company will not be holding a panel during the event. However they will have a booth (39) so go and check out some of their releases if you are interested! Some of their October releases include Thermae Romae and Shiki Part 2 on DVD and Blu-ray.
There is no word yet on if they will give some wriggle-room and allow you to pick up November’s titles C For Control, Golgo 13 Part 4 and Clannad: After Story Complete Series set to be released on the 15th.
