Cosplay Ozanimart, an Oceania region official distributor for Bushiroad products (Namely Cardfight!! Vanguard and Weiss Schwarz) have recently released their newsletter for September 2012, detailing a number of new titles incoming and the 2012 Australian Championships for Cardfight!! Vanguard.

Australian Championships for Cardfight!! Vanguard

This is your chance to represent Australia in the Cardfight!! Vanguard World Championships. If you are up for the challenge, then you must first face off against regional champions from all across Australia. The first place finisher will get an invitation to the Asian-Oceanian Championship (Singapore tickets and accommodation will be provided) – and coming in the top 4 there will earn yourself a ticket to Japan for the finals! Places for the events will be limited, so register at your local shop or at the door on the day itself.

Deck Regulation:
* Only English version cards can be used (There will be deck Checking). Fighters are
required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily
distinguished. Maximum sleeve layer is 2 layers.
* Cards from Booster Pack 7 “Rampage of the Beast King” cannot be used, because the
set is only released in Singapore at that time.

Tournament Structure: 
・Double elimination followed by top 8 single elimination.
・The number of rounds for the double elimination will depend on the number
of participants (fighters to lose 2 matches will be eliminated).
・The top 8 fighters after the final round of double elimination will advance to
the top 8 single elimination.
・The standing of fighters with the same record will be decided by opponent’s
match win percentage. (i.e. fighters who played opponents with a better
record will be ranked higher.)
・1 game per round.
・1 round is 20 minutes. (Extra 3 turns will be given time limit exceeded)

Top Prizes:
The 1st place finisher will get an invitation to the Asian-Oceanian Championship (Singapore travel fees will be provided).
2nd Place will be awarded a Nintendo 3DS XL handheld console.
If a card fighter already has an invitation, the prize will be passed down to the next
card fighter in the standings.
There’ll be lucky draws which include gift vouchers from anime distributor Hanabee.
Card fighters with 1 or less losses will receive an additional Knight of the Steel Blade,
Caradoc (PR/0013EN).

Participation prize: 
Knight of the Steel Blade, Caradoc (PR/0013EN) + two Booster Packs (Top 8 will
receive extra 2 packs and Top 4 will received another extra 2 packs)

12:30 – 1:00 pm (Tournament Starts at 1:15pm)

3 fighters per team. (There are no deck regulations among teammates. Each
member can create their own deck according to standard deck regulations.)
The staff will group fighters who wish to participate in the Team tournament, but
don’t have enough teammates.

Tournament Structure
・Double Elimination (Teams to lose 2 matches will be eliminated)
・Each member will fight 1 game against an opposing team member.
・The team to win more games than the opposing team wins the match.
・1 match is 20 minutes.
・The tournament will continue until there is only 1 undefeated team.

Participation Prize
Dragonic Vanisher (PR/0014EN) + one Booster Pack to each member

Top Prize
The 1st place Team members will get one Booster Box each.
2nd place Team members will get 10 Booster Packs each.
Teams with 1 or less losses will receive an additional Dragonic Vanisher
(PR/0014EN).

Deck Regulation
Only English version cards can be used.

Tournament Structure
Free Fight is a format to play simply for fun without competition. Participants can go
in and out freely during the Free Fight time. Fighters will be randomly matched
against a new opponent after each match.

Prize
All fighters participating in 2 or more matches will receive one Cardfight Pack Vol. 2
All fighters participating in 4 or more matches will receive one Sphere Magus
(PR/0015EN).

Weiss Schwarz Releases

If you are like me, you may prefer to play Weiss Schwarz (No official tournaments seem to be running for it as of yet). By the same author of Accel World (For which a release of that is coming soon) comes Sword Art Online. Unfortunately no dates or details have been announced yet.
