SEGA have released the first battle system screenshots for their upcoming release of Yakuza 5. While you can see the big batch of screenshots below, I would like to highlight one of the games newest inclusions… Haruka’s Battle System. Haruka has been in every Yakuza game since the series was launched, however has always ended up being the secondary character due to her age. However instead of getting into brawls, she (as a prospective idol) has her own individual dance battle system.
These dance battles take place between Haruka (Yourself) and a second person from the street and are judged by the conveniently present crowd whenever a battle takes place. The one whose strength bar depletes completely is the loser, with its drop speed depending on crowd perception. The system, pictured in the images above seems to be almost or exactly the same as has been previous for her “Another Drama” storyline.
