Developed by Superbot Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for both the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita – Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is for Playstation as Super Smash Bros was for the Nintendo consoles…. a chance for characters from a wide range of games to cross dimensions and battle each other for game character dominance. Today during the Sony Gamescom conference, four new characters were announced for the game – Sackboy from the LittleBigPlanet series, Dante from the Devil May Cry series, Spike from Ape Escape and Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank.
In addition, it has been confirmed that this game will be a part of the new Cross-Buy system which allows owners of the Playstation 3 or Playstation Vita game to play on the other console for free or at a reduced price due to the near identical content between the two. This follows on from Cross-Play and Cross- Save announcements allowing interoperability between the two games.
