PAL region game publisher Ghostlight have recently updated their official blog, detailing upcoming releases of Agarest: Generations of War Zero , Fate/EXTRA and Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga on the Playstation Network.
First to the good news, the company has announced that Agarest: Generations of War Zero has now been approved for release on the Playstation Network. While there is no formal release date as of yet, those who are interested have been told to keep their eyes peeled as they will be announcing a release date over the coming weeks. I wrote up a review for the title in July 2011, giving it a moderate score of B-… you can read my review of the title HERE.
While I would not call the other news tragic, I would call it inconvenient – especially as a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Ghostlight have confirmed that their release of Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 is being delayed by technical problems due to conflicts with the emulator. They claim that it may be possible to fix these problems in future emulator updates however as of this post they have no estimated date for this to take place. With any luck, it will not be too long as I alongside several others no doubt are eagerly awaiting this release.
To end this post on a good note, the company has also confirmed that the issue with Fate/Extra’s metadata has now been resolved, meaning that the game should now once again be available on more of the mainland European PSN stores which it was missing from.
