At Wai-Con held in January this year, Madman Entertainment held a panel and as usual released a nice set of anime acquisitions which they intended to release over the year and beyond. Based on what seemed to be the popularity of their release of the first season last year, the company announced they had plans to release Digimon: Digital Monsters 2 (Digimon Adventures 2) and had thus acquired the license to do so in Australia and New Zealand.
Since then we haven’t had much in the ways of word about this release… until today when on the companies official Facebook page, it was confirmed that they were aiming for a December 2012 release – assumingly the first half of the season as they did the previous one. Hopefully more shall emerge on this release in the coming weeks.
The question is however… while the company has released both seasons under the “Adventures” title, will they be releasing the Tamers and Frontier seasons, which unlike the first two I have not had the chance of viewing. Time shall tell….
