Final Fantasy XIV gamers will be glad to know that the series first major update formerly known and promoted as Final Fantasy XIV Ver 2.0 has today received its official title – Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Reception of the game has been very lackluster since release, and hopefully this will bring the game up to some sort of standard which the community will more openly embrace. There is no gameplay footage to see in this trailer, but expect to see more soon.

Since announcing our plans for the future of the title last October, we have been working tirelessly to include all of the elements that we have promised in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, which we announced today. This new title not only becomes a symbol of a completely new FINAL FANTASY XIV, but also marks the beginning of a new stage as the latest title in the FINAL FANTASY series.
