If you are reading this site then there is a good probability that you enjoy Japanese anime and manga releases, and have enjoyed this form of art through many services from DVD/Blu-ray releases, to manga volumes to online services such as Pixiv, Deviantart and personal blogs. But lets say you are like me and are not that creative or you would like to have a great piece of anime-style art designed by a Japanese artist. Unfortunately in the past commissioning works from Japanese manga artists and illustrators has been difficult, not only to find the right person but because unless you studied the language in school or through a course, you might not have proficiency in the language to be able to get into contact with them.
THIS is where F-Plat’s new Fast-Manga service comes in. The company runs FASTDESIGN, a large artist interaction site, and have used their knowledge and user network to open the service where English speaking people can easly contact Japanese manga artists and illustrators to commission work. At FAST-MANGA.com, companies and individuals can compare the profiles and works of over 70 Japanese manga artists, request estimates for projects, and contact artists directly. On artist profiles, examples of work, price guidelines, and ratings from past clients are displayed, so it is easy to find the right manga artist for user’s needs.
The company has recently launched Version β of their service, with English speaking communivation facilitators to translate user messages so users can negotiate prices, delivery dates and project details with Japanese artists. Also, users can check with numerous past projects created in the past using the Fast-Design site and see what kinds of manga or illustrations can be commissioned for the user’s budget. In the official version which will be launched in the next couple of months, users can promptly contact manga artists directly using a translation system.
