With Madoka Magica – due for release in the US this month and in Australia/New Zealand in April, one cannot help but get excited to see how Aniplex of America managed to release it in terms of quality (DVD/Blu-ray) and English dubs. In North America, Aniplex is set to release a special edition of the first four episodes with stuff like a soundtrack, posters and postcards to name a few things and accessing the standard edition (DVD) product page of the show on the Madman Entertainment website hints at it being the much sought after and expensive limited edition combo box set.

Unfortunately this is not the limited edition set but just the normal DVD edition with no bonuses for $29.95. Slykura from Madman Entertainment has already confirmed in channels such as the most recent installment of “Kidd and Squid” HERE that due to several reasons we would not be seeing it released over here…. sorry for anyone who was getting their hopes up. For the cost of $34.95 and $39.95 respectively for the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the series – you can pick up the series with a limited collectors box which might be up your alley if you are interested. Otherwise, the normal DVD edition can be picked up for $29.95 and the normal Blu-ray edition for $39.95!
