“I like the Alan Wake series” is the most simplest ways I can describe this series…. perhaps handing it a medal stating “The Otaku’s Study – Game of the Year 2010″ might also describe it nicely. As many of you should now know, the PC version of Alan Wake is due for release shortly and therefore the limited edition for it has been detailed.
Nordic Games, the distributor of Remedy Entertainment’s game on the PC will “include a wealth of amazing content offering incredible value for both fans of the award winning game and those new to the psychological thriller” in their offered collectors edition. The Alan Wake Collector’s Edition will include a Bonus Disc crammed with exclusive content including: “The History Of Remedy, The Making Of Alan Wake, The Making Of A Thriller, music videos by the Old Gods Of Asgard, several trailers to the game and Storyboard (with concept art) as a movie clip“. Also included will be what seems to be the original Collectors Edition (XBox360) item – The Alan Wake Files, a 144-page book with evidence on the mysterious incidents around Alan Wake and Bright Falls compiled by the fictitious author Clay Steward.
Nik Blower, Sales and Marketing Director of Nordic Games had this to say on the announcement:
Both the Standard and Collector’s versions of Alan Wake on PC offer something that gamers have never had the opportunity to own before and we’re delighted to be in a position to be releasing Alan Wake in all its glory. It’s great to be able to offer real value for money for PC gamers who buy a physical copy of Alan Wake.
The standard and collectors editions both include the main game and both DLC chapter (The Signal and The Writer) on disc one, while the second disc will include an official soundtrack with 13 tracks. Outside of the discs, there will also be six post cards featuring different scenes from the game, a manual, a double sided poster and seven stickers with different scenes and characters from the game.
Alan Wake on the PC will be available on the PC from the 2nd March at £29.99 for the standard edition and £34.99 for the collector’s edition.
