Time and Eternity is Supposedly the “World’s First HD Animation RPG”

It turns out that more information on the characters of Namco Bandai (Japan’s) upcoming RPG Time and Eternity has been unveiled. Just for those who missed my previous post, Time and Eternity (Also referred to as Tokitowa or Toki to Towa) is an upcoming RPG being published by Namco Bandai and developed by Imageepoch and Satelight. Ket members of the games production team include Kay Hirono and Kensuke Tsukanaka with character designs by VOFAN and composition by Yuzo Koshiro.

One of the main points they are trying to get across about their game is that it makes use of hand drawn 2D animation for main characters and enemies throughout both battle sequences and while exploring the world…. and not just your ordinary cel-shading. They have not mentioned yet if this will also pertain to environment designs and other things which seem more likely to be 3D designed. One Namco Bandai PR person referred to the game as “The worlds first HD animation RPG”. The game is currently 45% complete with a release date to be determined. It is set to be a Playstation 3 exclusive.

The game is set to surround the Kamuza Kingdom, which was formed when a prince known as the Knight King and a magic user Princess married. You play as the prince of this kingdom which should be named by the player who is now happily married at the age of 18 yet haven’t even had your first kiss yet. The princess is Toki, 16 years old and keeps a pet dragon. On the above image she is the second female from the left.
