As you may be already aware, Beyond the Labyrinth is a game due for release on the Nintendo 3DS this year by tri-Ace and Konami and as you might expect from a tri-Ace title, comes packed with a unique battle system. Fighting alongside four player characters and the mystery (and excessively previewed) girl who acts both as your guide and a figure you might protect at all costs. You protect her through shielding with particular characters which will take the HP reduction for her.
The girls HP meter (In the top-left hand corner) as well as her magic strike parameter underneath it plays a critical role in determining the damage dealt through her magic strike attack. This is as the damage caused by this skill is determined through the mathematical equation of:
HP Percentage x Magic Strike Number
Therefore it is critical you keep both of these parameters as high as possible unless you like seeing game over screens.
Unfortunately there is no word yet on if we will be seeing this outside of Japan anytime soon, but I would advise keeping an eye on Konami over the next few months for news of a potential acquisition.
