Putting an End To the Panic relating to English Dubs of Bandai Entertainments Releases

Laughable1 Putting an End To the Panic relating to English Dubs of Bandai Entertainments Releases

First of all, I would like to start out with the fact that I think N4G and Anime Shinbun are great websites as a whole. I can understand that some fans of anime and games do not have the time to either stumble across a website that has one piece of content that they want or even have time to check out the many websites out there on the market. I personally started posting some of my articles on the site for that very reason and for the most part I have gotten some great reception – with valuable feedback especially on my game articles which I will hopefully be able to use to bring you better reports overall.

There was a bit of comment recently about the potential loss of licenses to other regions after the closing of Bandai Entertainment and when one user thought this would mean no Nichijou English dub I kindly clarified that this was not the case and another company could pick it up to dub or alternatively there might never have been one on the books in the first place (Bandai Entertainment DID do Subtitled releases – as do most North American companies). But apparently to some this is considered trolling – a rather unjustified comment if you ask me towards someone who provided a glimmer of hope.

So to let it be known:

  • This announcement DOES NOT mean there will not be an English dub for Nichijou, GOSICK etc
  • There will be NO license drops by any other company at this time.
  • There was no guarantee there would even be an English dub of these titles in the first place.

Once again, I think N4G and Anime Shinbun are brilliant websites that provide even the smallest blog with a story or review to tell to get it out to the public… but seriously…. this just gives me a headache….

Please look forward to more articles of a different nature coming shortly.
