Phantom Breaker due for Release in North America by 7Sixty

Phantom Breakers Opening Sequence showcasing the characters and gameplay.

While we have seen several fighting series released over the last couple of months and years, it seems we will have to welcome yet another one with game publisher 7sixty making it clear they will  be distributing 5pb’s fighting game Phantom Breaker for the XBox360 sometime this year. Launched in early June 2011, this game offers two fighting styles and a cast of 14 playable characters which is heavily female oriented but still offers a couple of male characters to give the game a very dispropotionate balance of male to female characters. The game also offers cameo playable characters from Chaos;Head Noah and Steins;Gate, both of which had games developed by 5pb and Nitroplus.

As of now there is no official press release for the game by 7Sixty and all the information available is a Twitter post (HERE) confirming their acquisition and an Amazon.com listing incorrectly naming their parent company SouthPeak as the publisher. If Amazon is correct the game will be available exclusively for the XBox360 at a cost of $39.99. I will get in touch with the company to see if I can get a bit more information and will post it when it is made available.
