Nozomi Entertainment is a North American publisher of anime titles with the same team behind one of the countries best known anime stores RightStuf which I have used several times to import titles that are unlikely to be released over here in Australia. Some of their licensed and released works include Gakuen Alice, Antique Bakery, Aria the Animation and Emma: A Victorian Romance to name a few.
Back in October 2011, the company announced they would be doing a Complete Series DVD collection on the 7th February 2012 and afterwards not much was heard about the title until now. Rightstuf have just released the official website for the release HERE and on it you can find information and goodies such as: a brand new series trailer, Download seven pages of interviews with Director Ryousuke Takahashi (creator, Votoms), Assistant Director Goro Taniguchi (creator, Code Geass), and Mechanical Designer Yutaka Izubuchi (creator, RahXephon), Read the latest news about the upcoming release and view the screenshots as well as packaging.
As mentioned above, the series is due for release on the 7th February 2012 at a price of $37.49 from the RightStuf store or a SRP of $49.99. It runs for approximately 625 minutes and is a hybrid release meaning it has both English dubs and Japanese dub with subtitles. Below I have included some information on the series and encourage you to check out the official website for screenshots and pre-order information.
The flames of war are fanned in the Middle East as two secretive forces unleash their latest weapons of mass destruction. But in a world where giant robots take their place on the battlefield, the most dangerous weapon of all lies buried within a human mind. Yushiro, the fourth son of the mysterious and powerful Gowa family, finds himself at the center of events that may change the future of mankind forever! Combining mecha and political intrigue with mysticism, Gasaraki is a 25-episode television series created and directed by Ryousuke Takahashi (Armored Trooper Votoms, Blue Gender, GaoGaiGar, Phoenix). It features planning and production by Sunrise (Mobile Suit Gundam, Dirty Pair, Cowboy Bebop), as well as direction by Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass, Planetes) and mechanical designs by Yutaka Izubuchi (RahXephon, Patlabor) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed, Bubblegum Crisis, Megazone 23).
