In another set of simulcast licenses announced by CrunchyRoll, Ano Natsu de Matteru (or Waiting in the Summer) will begin airing next week from the 11th January at 8am PST, with new episodes being streamed every Wednesday. Unfortunately for those outside of America, the series has only been licensed for North and South America unlike some of their other announcements. Keith Kawamura, senior brand manager of CrunchyRoll had this to say about the announcement:
What is provoking about ANO NATSU DE MATTERU will be its ability to evoke relatable memories of summer during these cold months. With its unique spin and reunion of the TORADORA! creative team, this should be a series not to be missed!
The synopsis for the show is below:
With summer about to begin a group of friends, the stillness and boredom of holiday is almost upon them. To combat the approaching boredom, these friends decide to make a film together documenting their memories together throughout the holiday. Will this truly be the summer to remember…
