Crunchyroll to Simulcast Nisemonogatari this Season

Nisemono 279x300 Crunchyroll to Simulcast Nisemonogatari this SeasonCrunchyroll has announced their intentions of simulcasting the highly anticipated anime release of Nisemonogatari, a sequel to the already popular series Bakemonogatari, which is currently under license by Aniplex USA. Starting on the 7th January 2012 at 9:30AM PST, you will be able to get the latest episode every Saturday provided you live in the following territories: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand. Crunchyroll senior brand manager Keith Kawamura had this to say on their recent announcement:

Bakemonogatari made a huge splash throughout the anime community, and with the addition of its sequel – NISEMONOGATARI – we know that fans are rabidly awaiting its release with good cause. We can expect nothing less than great things from this fantastic series and its amazing franchise.

Here is the official blurb on the title, which doesn’t provide much information but at the same time does not spoil much either:

In Bakemonogatari, the story centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who has recently survived a vampire attack, and finds himself mixed up with all kinds of apparitions: gods, ghosts, myths, and spirits. However, in Nisemonogatari, we pick up right where we left off and follow Koyomi as the psychological twists delve deeper and deeper…
