Welcome to the last day of 2011! Without a doubt this has been a big year for both the anime and gaming communities, although a relatively temperamental year for manga. I would just like to wish all my readers both new and old all the best for 2012 and hope you will continue to keep an eye on The Otaku’s Study for all your news and review needs in the year to come! Hopefully today I will begin writing a 2011 in Review article which will be covering my thoughts on how the year has treated the otaku’s and my hopes for next year!
よいお年をお迎えください
It is funny, when I was in Grade 5 the school decided they would start shuffling around the themes of our Christmas concerts to deviate from the normal loop of the usual Christmas carols. During the three years since we were forced to an “Australian Christmas’ Concert” which given how many Aussie carols there were…. ended up with most of us singing classic carols anyway, the graduation song in Grade 7… but in Grade 5 they decided to embrace cultural diversity and have each class do a different international Christmas song, which while being difficult considering the school only taught Japanese and French, our class actually got the Japanese “carol”. As there were no traditional Christmas songs exclusive for Japan, they made us sing this song… which celebrates the New Year.
Ahh… memory lane! But I digress, there should be a review of Dennou Coil Part 2 going up tomorrow, but besides that and the Year in Review article I hope to write up, just expect some more fun and casual posts!
