Representatives from every Game company awaiting the announcement

During my time running The Otaku’s Study this year, I have found myself in contact with many a game company and have come to the realization that it would only be fair to reward the company that has pushed out numbers of quality titles and have proved that the gaming market is far from dead.

*Picks up rather heavy envelope*
*Struggles to open it*
*Grabs bunsen burner to melt the seal on the envelope but sets the whole thing ablaze*

This award goes to every game company that is still pushing out games at this moment. It would be very unfair for me to choose a single company over another when each have supplied games well suited to various peoples taste, and even more-so that doing so would most probably leave out several brilliant companies I don’t have contact with overseas yet still bring brilliant titles to their respective market. So congratulations…… EVERYONE!

*Realizes the other envelope has caught on fire due to poor placement of previous blazing envelope*

To be serious, I would say the same thing about the many anime companies both in Japan and internationally who tirelessly push out more and more high quality anime series for us to enjoy. I think it is clear that while not every series may be a hit – the recent results of the AniBloggers Choice Anime Awards that was published today indicate the wide variety of series the bloggers enjoyed – and that they tailored well to specific interest groups.

Oh, and as there is still a significant part of the market I have not covered yet…. every company that deals in manga, cosplay products or anything surrounding otaku can feel free to give themselves a pat on the back and do a little victory dance!

and now…. we bit farewell to a relatively successful 2011
…. and we welcome in 2012, the year of hopefully innovative titles, new consoles, even more breathtaking anime…
AND FOR 2012 to be the Year of the Otaku!

Now feel free to leave the ceremony center at your nearest convenience… we will be releasing the Robotic Ninja Zombies shortly to deal with those who are loitering~
