Fans of Fate/Zero rejoyce! You will be receiving the series as a Blu-ray Disc Box sooner than you may have expected – say… the 7th March 2012 (Simultaneously with Japan) including the first thirteen episodes. These episodes will all include the Japanese dub track alongside English subtitles and be spread over five blu-ray discs. Alongside these discs will be some bonus extras which I shall detail a little bit further down in this article. Hideki Goto, President of Animation Business at Aniplex of America had this to say:
We‘re very excited that we can bring this fan-favorite title to North America at the same time it is being released in Japan. Like our previous releases of The Garden of Sinners and Rurouni Kenshin, this project comes from our continuous challenge to deliver the latest shows as soon as possible Aniplex originally simulcasted Fate/Zero worldwide in association with Niconico, now I’m glad to announce the BD release date to the North American audience will be the same street date as in Japan. I have no doubt this Fate/Zero Blu-ray Disc Box will satisfy not only the Fate/stay Night fans who enthusiastically waited for this show, but also those who want to watch the most recent and sophisticated anime show to date. It’s our hope that you;ll find this a worthy showpiece to add to your collection to enjoy and treasure repeatedly.
For those who have not heard or watched the series before, here is a brief synopsis to bring you up to speed or reaquaint you with the storyline.
The story starts from zero: the beginning…
The Holy Grail War – in this ultimate battle field, in order to obtain the power of the “Holy Grail” that grants any unattainable wish, seven “masters” summon “servants” and fight against each other until the last one survives.
After three inconclusive Holy Grail Wars, the fourth battle has finally started. Hoping to win the battle, each master is heading to the new battlefield, Fuyuki. However, there is a man who is confused and struggling, unable to find meaning in the war. His name is Kirei Kotomine. He wonders why he has been appointed to this task, but without any answers, he encounters his archrival – Kiritsugu Emiya, a master who craves the miracle Holy Grail most of all.
The untold truth of the Fourth Holy Grail War that occurred 10 years before Fate/Stay Night – the truth of the battle fought by Shiro’s adopted father, Rin’s father, and young Kirei Kotomine – is about to be revealed!

Now price…… How does a SRP of $498.98 sound? *Watches your Jaw Drop*. Well, that is infact the SRP price, however if you order from Rightstuf which is the only place they have announced as a distributor, you can pick it up for $369.98. If you would like to take the plunge and pre-order it, people in North America can do so HERE, and those outside of North America can pre-order HERE. Also, here is a brief comment on the listings regarding shipment of this title:
Due to the highly limited nature of the Fate/Zero box set, we will be sending all parcels via a trackable method with additional insurance. As such, this set incurs a surcharge for the insurance cost. This surcharge has already been figured into “your price” and is why the international cost is slightly higher than that for US customers.
Due to licensing restrictions, this product cannot be shipped to Japan.
