The second and final title in Siren Visual’s Christmas “The Dead and The Dying” Acquisition Announcement line-up is Princess Resurrection. While I am sure many of you will be more familiar with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai over this one, I had the chance to check the first episode during this sites infancy and it showed quite a lot of promise. Released in 2008, it follows on Hiro Hiroyomi who ends up dead by sacrificing himself for a stranger about to be hit by falling steel pylons. It just so happens this woman is Hime, a member of the Monster Realms royal family who revives him and makes him her servant – where as long as he serves… he can remain semi-immortal.

As a mixture of genres including comedy, horror and action, you will be able to enjoy the 26 episodes over four DVD’s (I assume two sets of two DVD’s each) with the first to be released alongside Higurashi Kai this March.
