Siren Visual today sent out their December newsletter covering all of their upcoming titles as well as promoting their weekly Christmas competitions. For those who are not registered to recieve the email or like last time – may have had difficulty opening it, I have posted it up below. Oh, and while on the topic – reviews for both The Guild and RvB Season 9 up this weekend… WOO!
SIREN END OF YEAR ROUND UP!
And so the final month of 2011 is upon us and what a year it has been for everyone at the office here and I’m sure for you guys reading this as well.
LOOKING BACK…
Rounding up this year and looking back on our titles, we’ve got to say that it has been a pretty epic one for us – simulcasting has seen us bring Tiger & Bunny, C for Control, Usagi Drop and currently Un-Go to Australian audiences at the same time as Japan. Durarara!!, When They Cry, Kaiba, Clannad After Story, Needless and a heap of box-sets, not to mention Red Vs Blue and The Guild. Then there was our exclusive noitaminA titles – The Tatami Galaxy, Welcome to Irabu’s Office and House of Five Leaves – all of which were exclusive to Region 4. Not too shabby at all, eh?RELEASES
So what do we have for you this month? Well we’ve got…DENNOU COIL: PART 2 – 16/12/2011
The final chapter of Dennou Coil is officially out this month! I’ve already mentioned about this in our last newsletter but hey what’s the harm in reiterating this again to all of you because it’s Dennou Coil! It’s still not too late to get your pre-orders in with surprise goodies for a lucky few abound! And I assure you the second half surely does not disappoint.
THE GUILD: SEASON 4 – 16/12/2011
The Guild Season 4 is also out this month! I’m sure this series needs no introduction as we’re already three seasons deep into this hilarious web series dealing with a group of online gamers who collectively call themselves The Knights of Good. Included within this DVD set are all 12 episodes of the season as well as their popular music video ‘Game On!’ and other extra behind the scene action.
CLANNAD: DVD BOX SET – 19/01/2011
Clannad: The Complete Series is yours to own early next year with its release scheduled for January just in time to spend your post-Christmas money on. This box set includes of course Clannad Part One and Two of the first season of this popular series housed within our all important slipcase.
NINJA NONSENSE – 19/01/2012
Your ninja cravings will be sated with this hilarious comedy series out next month! Watch the antics of Shinobu, a ninja in training, her master, Onsokumaru, a strange yellow spherical creature and his numerous other disciples that all look alike. Praised in 2006 by both DVD Talk and Anime Talk as being within the Top 10 anime of 2006 Ninja Nonsense is a title you surely don’t want to miss out on.
USAGI DROP – 22/02/2012
You’re favourite slice of life family drama is back! Previously simulcasted online over at ANN Usagi Drop is seeing a February release next year. So you know what that means? Pre-ordering is up and running so go reserve a copy to call your own right now! If you need a refresher or haven’t been able to watch it Usagi Drop is the story about Daikichi Kawaichi who takes it upon himself to raise his grandfather’s six year old daughter Rin after his passing. Totalling up to 11 episodes Usagi Drop will surely charm the most hardened of hearts.
CASSHERN SINS: BLU-RAY COLLECTION – 22/02/2012
Lastly this post-apocalyptic series is seeing a Blu-Ray collection release so both Part 1 & 2 will be combined in a nifty little slipcase for you to enjoy! Designed to be seen on glorious Blu-Ray there can be no other way of watching this series. Pre-orders of course are up for this little set so hurry up and reserve yourself a copy of this little treat.
STREAMING
UN-GO
…And the plot thickens! Over the halfway mark UN-GO is steamrolling into the final stretch of its run and its definitely making our heads turn as it’s doing it. Parallel worlds and role reversal with our favourite detective Yuuki Shinjurou no longer being a detective this series is surely playing on expectations and we’re only on Episode 7! Check out the episodes now if you haven’t already (or re-watch them cause they are just that good) and Episode 8 will be out on Saturday for all of you to enjoy!
WHAT’S AHEAD…
Don’t worry we’re not leaving you entirely empty handed at the end of the year as we have one last big announcement to make before we head off to enjoy our holidays! What is that you may ask?
