Bringing you back to around this time last year, I did my “Best Games of 2010″ article which saw my Game of 2010 being Alan Wake, a mystery/action/horror game for the XBox360 which has for the last few months been teasing a non-DLC sequel. At the Spike’s Video Game Awards 2011 held last night, they unveiled that the next instalment in the series will be Alan Wake: American Nightmare. While the overall story has not been confirmed there are many possibilities on how it could be linked, due to the game taking place in an entirely new environment with new characters but with a doppelgänger antagonist (Mr. Scratch) who was left as a big mystery in the end of the main story of Alan Wake.
Once again this game is being developed by Remedy Entertainment and being published by Microsoft Studios for an estimated Q1 2012 release on the XBox Live Arcade (Exclusively for XBox360).
