After around a month and a half of no coverage being made on the game Mugen Souls, a new game being developed by Compile Heart and more specifically… the “New Keiji Inafune”, Dengeki Online have unveiled more information including new character designs, character artwork and some more random screenshots. As I look through the new assets now, it shows that they are retaining their more cutesy style of artwork they chose to include in past titles such as Trinity Universe, however have extended that by lolifying the character designs and artwork as you will see below. Despite that, it actually looks like one of Compile Hearts better designed games and hopefully Nippon Ichi Software America will take the initiative and release the game somewhere along the line.
Below I will focus on each of the character individually, however do mind that my translations might not be perfect.

This currently covers every character in the game currently announced. While nothing has been hinted considering that the “new” Keiji Inafune has been heavily focused upon in all promotional materials, if he will appear as a side character as well. Only time will tell in this regard I suppose. Below I have included all screenshots I have not posted up before, however all credits to resources in this article (Content and images) were sourced from Dengeki Online from a number of their articles on the game. The game has currently only been announced for Japanese distribution by Compile Heart from the 22nd March 2012 on the Playstation 3. No English distribution channel has been announced at the time of posting, however if anyone will distribute it, good chances it will be Nippon Ichi Software America.

Not a problem. Over at the NISA forums we’ve been working hard to figure out whatever we can about this game. I’m guessing that you’ll get a playable character from each land. I hope we can get a bunch more about this game this week.
Hmmm, I might have to log back into the NISA Forums and take part as well… haven’t been on them in a couple of months. I feel you will be right in getting a playable character (or characters considering they are releasing them in sets of two) per world.
