Kevin Butler Presents SimulView….TM

You mean you would rather listen to me explain this over Kevin Butler… VP of All or Nothing? Simulview is the upcoming feature on the new Playstation 3D Displays where you receive a fully functional 3D television coming in at 24″ with Full HD 1080p Resolution…. but instead of just having ONE SCREEN for multiplayer games, you can have separate 24″ 2D screens while wearing different Playstation 3D Glasses. What does this mean? Death of 2-player Split-screen gaming on the Playstation 3!

While the feature is going to be slowly adopted onto select previous games and hopefully all future multiplayer games, those outside of North America will have to wait just that little while longer to see its official release. The following is taken from an old Sony Computer Entertainment press release made in August:

The PlayStation branded 3D Display was confirmed for Europe/PAL territories available this autumn, priced at €499 (RRP), AUD $699.95 (RRP),NZD $849.95 (RRP), including two sets of 3D glasses.
