D3 Publisher and Namco Bandai Partners today announced that Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (EDF) has been released for the PC via download through Steam. This is the series first release on the PC and will include all previously released DLC content, alongside four new PC exclusive weapon packs which will be purchasable through Steam. These four packs are:

  1. The Earth Defense Force Battle Armor Weapon Chest
  2. Trooper Special Issue Enforcer Package
  3. Aerialist Munitions Package
  4. Tactician Advanced Tech Package

Each of these will include ten new weapons, each of which can be classed as high powered artiliary such as the Nilas Cryo Pancake Cycler (Ice mortar which blasts enemies up to 30 meters away) and the Neptanzer Linkjump Cinerus (A short-ranged lightning weapon developed for Jet Armor).
