8 Minutes of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance from Jump Festa

While I sit here wondering if we should expect Kingdom Hearts 3 to be released on this generations line of game consoles or should just start waiting for the PS4 version…, it is still good to know they have not abandoned the plot with a number of subplot storylines featuring both main characters from the original characters as well as a number of initially side characters. The next installment in the franchise is Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS, and revolves around the characters Sora and Riku primarily, alongside the usual cast of Disney and Square Enix characters.

Some notable additions to this trailer include the worlds for the Three Musketeers and Tron Legacy, the appearance of Shiki and Joshua from The World Ends with You and new animated cutscenes which seem to utilize the 3DS’s capabilities relatively well. Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is due for release on the Nintendo 3DS during March 2012 in Japan, with a highly likely English release in the near future.
