Even Kevin Butler is horrified!
If you take all my game reviews on this website, you will find that games I have either reviewed on or are exclusive to the Playstation 3 would probably be the most frequent. The console has clocked many thousands of hours of everything from the childish games such as Bakugan: Battle Brawlers to the ones where it has copped much verbal abuse such as Demons Souls and to games that showcased the beauty of what the console could provide such as…. well there are many games.
Unfortunately I was preparing for a review of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record and just as I was walking through one of the Casinos the game freezes… I gulp as my ears catch the sound of three beeps. My eyes shifted from the TV screen to the console and too my horror I found a flashing red light. Panicking, I swore out loud and restarted the console to find it turn on for a few seconds, flash yellow and then resume flashing red….. I had been YLOD’ed.
While I have played most of the games on my To Review list enough to be able to somewhat review them, the issue is that due to the cost either way (Repair or Replace) being substantially high, I am not in a financial position to replace the console immediately – so reviews of PlayStation 3 games might be delayed a bit while I either force the supposedly dead console to submit to my will and start working again, or manage to procure another PS3. Hopefully it will not take more then a couple of weeks. Of course, multiplatform games will be the same as usual for obvious reasons.
Now excuse me while I bang my head on my desk a few hundred times.
