Not much news has come up about this release lately, so for those who may not know – Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy is a game slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS and is essentially a music game, with a number of music-oriented gameplay elements and music from most, if not all the Final Fantasy games. While a number of playable characters have been announced such as Lightning (XIII), Tidus (X) and Cloud (VII), they also have given the gamer the option of unlocking further sub-characters by collecting crystal fragments through the gameplay. Some of the newly announced sub-characters include:
- Snow (FF XIII)
- Vivi (FF IX)
- Prishe (FF XI)
- Faris (FF V)
- Sid (FF III)
- Princess Sara (FF I)
- Aerith (FF VII)
While there is no set release date for this game, it is expected to be released this Winter in Japan – with no currently announced English distribution.
