When it came to platformers on the Gamecube (As I used to only have a N64 and a Gamecube at one point), you might think that Super Mario Sunshine or something like that would take the cake as best game on the console. However, to me it was Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc by Ubisoft that gives me the fondest memories, from the creative writing, to the LSD-inspired minigames to even the “So You Wanna Kick Rayman” bonus videos – everything in the game was what I look for in the genre.
Ubisoft mere moments ago announced that in celebration of Rayman returning after so many years in Rayman Origins (For which I recently gave it an S-Grade), they would be releasing the fan favourite Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc with an all new HD makeover this autumn for the XBox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. This game was released on the original XBox, Playstation 2, Nintendo Gamecube and Windows PC in 2003 and was the third title in the million-selling platforming series by Michael Ancel.
In Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc HD, fans and newcomers alike can now enjoy this piece of video game history with stunning new HD graphics. Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc HD provides 15–20 hours of gameplay and a wealth of extra content to unlock, including nine fun stand-alone mini-games, achievements and worldwide online leaderboards. In addition, the game has been updated to run at 60 frames per second and offers improved audio quality!
