Funimation Entertainment today announced that they have updated their website FUNIMATION.TV and also launched a new online store for fans to purchase their currently available series. They claim that the new website has been redesigned with a focus on making the schedule (Theyhave a 24/7 anime channel in North America) and content more accessible and dynamic. Each show now has its own dynamic landing page with show synopsis, trailers and a purchase button to buy the DVD/Blu-ray of the program directly from the website.

The new online store found HERE will allow the company to give discounts to fans, reward them with coupons and offer official DVD bundles for special releases and holidays, alongside free shipping for orders over $25 and more. Some of the currently on specials include the DVD bundle for Spice and Wolf Season One going out at a price of $37.48 (25% off) and then you can get recently released Season Two at 60% off. The same goes with Darker Than Black Season One, which you can pick up at the price of $37.48 (25% off) and then get the second season at 60% off.

On Black Friday, Funimation will also have a variety of specials including a “VOD Special” where Video on Demand users can purchase select titles from te shop at lower than normal sale prices, including The Count of Monte Cristo, My Bride is a Mermaid, Samurai Champloo, Ikki Tousen and many more as well as 40% off either Season One or Two of Darker Than Black. These specials continue through to Cyber Monay where customers can buy Chaos;HEAd and Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 at 40% off the retail price.

Somewhere around the site is an “Easter Egg” which will provide people who find it with bonus coupons for the store.
