Both my forum avatars for Granado Espada and Dragonica respectively
Going through the archive of this site a year or two back will bring you back to the period of time where I was a Super Moderator of both Granado Espada and Dragonica forums for IAH Games, a period of time that I met many hundred great people and would say it was one of the highlights of my online experience – getting to be a pioneer of the Dragonica forum (As member 42, which was the second or third member created) and in the pioneer Community Crew team for Granado Espada where I was able to take part in what I consider the best and most active days of the forum where Granado Espada was “the game” to play.
Whilst I preferred to be a light hearted moderator, very infrequently handing out bans or infractions and I think only making two people dislike me on the Dragonica Forums, I know I might have pissed some of you others off – and for that I humbly appologise… unless you were asking for it then… I am neutral as I am not longer an active part of it anymore.
However, the following link will most probably shock you as to how forums (??) can do rather iffy things, resulting in it supposedly being for one purpose but having a single agenda that honestly worries me even more. I am talking about a recent group that opened – Vaccination Respectful Debate, which was opened up by anti-vaccination lobbyist Meryl Dorey who runs the Australian Vaccination Network as a means to supposedly have a debate that is “respectful” of both sides of the argument. Personally, I think it is either vaccinate or putting your child at risk (Especially considering with recent outbreaks of Whooping Cough and Measles in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales), however some people such as Peter Tierney decided to check it out, and were welcomed with the following response HERE.
Now, I am not going to go into details about this, but would like to state something…. when making decisions about what decisions to make for the health of your children including vaccinations – the ONE person you should be going to is either your childs Pediatrician or General Practitioner… not some website/forum making outlandish claims or even a website that does make reasonable claims. Doctor knows best! Now if I only had a banhammer somewhere….
But yes, typing this has made me miss the good ol’ days of foruming. To all my friends and acquaintances from the forums, I do hope you enjoy the games you are playing regardless of if they are the same games or completely different ones!
