Otaku no Musume-san Ends After 63 Chapters

otaku Otaku no Musume san Ends After 63 ChaptersOtaku no Musume-san, a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Stu-Hiro and published by Fujimi Shobo has reached its end after 63 chapters with a double length chapter.

This series followed the story of Kouta Morisaki, an otaku who lives in a building complex filled with varied manga authors and severe anime fans ranging from a creepy lolicon who pops up around the building randomly, a high-school landlady and a family hidden away in a room with a “disease”  that makes people forget about them. Appearing on his doorstep one day was his apparent 9 year old daughter Kanau who has been sent to live with him by her mother – who was secretly pregnant with her when they broke up. This series followed Kouta adapting to handing his daughter after leaving an awful first impression and slowly adapting to the father role, while also following Kanau who learns to accept her fathers and the other residents eccentricities. Following a wide cast of characters and some interesting stories (A friend of mine loaned me two volumes), the series seemed to be very interesting.

Unfortunately, no English distribution has ever been announced for this series – however it would be nice to see one in the future.
