Cat Deeley and Sony Playstation Team Up in the Search for Australia’s DanceStar!

Cat Deeley Playstation DanceStar 019 Cat Deeley and Sony Playstation Team Up in the Search for Australias DanceStar! Cat Deeley gets her PlayStation Move on in Australia for the launch of DanceStar Party on PlayStation 3.

Sony Playstation and host of the US version of “So You Think You Can Dance” Cat Deeley have teamed up to promote the pending launch of DanceStar™ Party, from the same team who brought you Singstar. Now, this is not just going to be a photoshoot but instead a public dance-off where they want everyone who will be at First Fleet Park in Circular Quay tomorrow to head on down and test out their skills. The prize? How about jetting off to the US in 2012 to watch a So You Think You Can Dance episode be filmed live? Oh, and they will throw in a years worth of PlayStation games to top it all off.

Cat Deeley had this to say:

“I see so many talented dancers in my line of work, but you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy DanceStar Party. In typical PlayStation style this game brings you experiences that no one else can – a killer 40 song track list set to the original music video clips, and a whopping 160 choreographed dance routines. With the PlayStation Move motion controller you can even create your own moves, or simply step into the virtual shoes of artists like Basement Jaxx, Usher and Willow Smith. You can easily share your moves from the game on Facebook and Twitter. I can’t wait to see what Australians have to offer tomorrow. Get those legwarmers out people!”

I have always been a big fan of dancing games from DanceDanceRevolution to Just Dance, so DanceStar Party could quite possibly be added to my gaming collection. If you are not able to get down there, take comfort in this recent commercial:
