Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: Nocturne of Truth and Illusions – Updated Character Trailer

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: Nocturne of Truth and Illusions is a PS3 remake of the final four arcs in 07th Expansions Supernatural Murder Mystery series Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It follows the story of the 18 members of the Ushiromiya Family / Family Servants who become trapped on the island due to a storm – with family members disappearing ina  ritualistic and brutal fashion. The kicker is, that this is more an intellectual story where one must determine if the murder was done by a witch or by human hands, whilst having a majority of the story also taking place in the witches realm.

The original trailer that I posted up on the 2nd of September 2011 only consisted of the first half and introduced characters such as Erika Furudo and Dlanor A. Knox. This trailer recently posted up by Alchemist not only covers the original trailer, but introduces the characters from the final two arcs - Lion Ushiromiya who has a very mysterious background having not existed in the six gamers prior and Willard H. Wright, chief inquisitor of the SSVD and is trapped in the game and forced to solve the mystery – of the same warped world as Lion.

This game is due out in Japan on the 15th of December 2011, whilst English distribution of even the first game is up in the air – however there is a sizable number of gamers still actively requesting for this game, so I would not say it is impossible to see it released outside of Japan.
