In most probably one of the more unique means at punishing gamers who had copies of Dark Souls in Japan before the official release date – From Software apparently began sending out max stated Black Phantoms to invade other gamers worlds to disrupt their progress. The game, as with the first makes use of special stones that allow you to aid or hinder other gamers progress provided they are connected online. Of course, to even have a chance of defeating these characters, you would need to dedicate countless hours to train, but it would have been satisfying to defeat one… or even just knock them off the edge of a cliff (Which from memory in the last game – knocked a level off the character).

Unfortunately, it seems like there have been some initial problems from the get go, that will no doubt be resolved by the time that we get the game early next month. Unfortunately for Japanese gamers, when running the game online there is a risk of the game freezing at the title screen or during gameplay. Therefore, they strongly advise all gamers to log out of the Playstation Network prior to starting up the game. They have already mentioned they are currently working on a bug fix that will be implemented ASAP. For more information, keep checking the official website HERE.
