So it Might Just Not be the End of The World Ends with You

Story1 So it Might Just Not be the End of The World Ends with YouOriginally released in 2007 within Japan and released internationally in 2008, The World Ends with You was perhaps one of the gaming highlights for the Nintendo DS – where back in this websites infancy I gave the game a 93.75%. As you might be aware, they have always been open about the fact they would like a sequel, but nothing had really been mentioned about it until recently. With Neku, the protagonist of the game having an appearance in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS Kingdom Hearts game, it seems that peoples hopes have been revitalized into seeing a second game.

Famitsu posed this question to, Tetsuya Nomura who was responsible for the games character designs among other things, and he responded by stating that his inclusion in the game could be taken as something will be coming along eventually, also hinting that something was being worked on. Of course, this could be anything and not necessarily a sequel – could be a manga, artbook, Joshua and Neku’s Shibuya Fashion Show or even just a 3DS remake of the first game….. but at least the series is not necessarily down and out for the count.

Provided they don’t put forward a Wii remake…. this is one game I want to stay on a portable console….
