Can you believe another season of anime has already passed as and with it, bringing a new batch of anime to be shown in Japan, and hopefully picked up by English distributors for DVD and/or Simulcast release. Last time I did a similar article to this I personally think it looked appropriate however have decided this time around to add a bit more visual indication of my thoughts – so have adopted a five grade system to be implemented for this, as well as the first episode articles if I write them this year.
So from left to right, the grades essentially go from Looks Very Promising to Not even going to bother. Generally I like to think that both the top and bottom grades need to look exceptionally good or bitterly disappointing (or not to my interests more or less) to get these scores – so expect a majority to be around the middle three scores.
Also do note that as with last season, any impressions reviews will primarily be based on titles that have been announced for English distribution via Simulcast – and it is quite possible not everything on the list will be acquired. I hope this helps those of you who do not want to read yet another lengthy discussion on every series.
