For those who are interested in playing the “Lost” Persona game, then starting today you have your chance, with ATLUS having announced the availability of Persona 2: Innocent Sin in both North American retail stores and on the Playstation Network. Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Marketing at ATLUS USA had this to say about the game:
The release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin for PSP system marks the end of a very long wait for fans of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise and its Persona subseries. Not only does this new PSP system version of the game offer fans a refined, enhanced experience, improving upon the visuals, user interface, audio, and more, but it is also the only entry in the Persona series of critically acclaimed JRPGs to never be officially localized for North America.
When purchasing this game, you do not only get the HD remake of it, but also the opportunity to play the game with the classic Playstation 1 music (or the remixed and enhanced versions if you prefer), a new interface, new sidequests and the Climax Theater which includes many things from more unique quests to a quest creator, all of which are unlocked during the course of the game. If you choose to purchase a physical copy, if it is a first run version you will also recieve a free bonus 10-track soundtrack.
Those in PAL regions do not fret, while the game is not released in the region yet, Ghostlight has already acquired the license for those regions and should be out within the next couple of months!
