Part (??) of Siren Visual’s November and December Line-up Revealed

dennoucoil pt2 shortdecription 06 Part (??) of Siren Visuals November and December Line up Revealed

Siren Visual have just unveiled at least part of their November and December 2011 releases on their website. Unfortunately at the moment it does not seem much in terms of anime compared to previous seasons, so I at least assume more will be revealed in coming weeks, just like how the Tears to Tiara box set was announced in their recent newsletter for this month. The following is what has currently been announced.

November

Otonashi Yuzuru has one memory: he died. He’s stuck in a high school of the afterlife, his own surreal purgatory with two choices: give up his connection to life and submit to his fate… or fight against God! If he chooses the latter option, the Shinda Sekai Sensen (SSS) is here to help – they’re here to see that your untimely death is avenged. One problem though: Angel, the president of the school council. Throw in an all-girl rock band called Girl’s Dead Monster, buckets of blacker than black comedy, more weapons than you can handle and you’re only half-way to heaven…but you’ve still gotta get through hell!

Cyd Sherman, a.k.a. Codex (Felicia Day) has hit the bottom. Dumped by her boyfriend, her employer and her therapist, she drowns her sorrows the way any modern girl would: in the world of online gaming…  Season 3 finds our favourite Guild falling apart after the disastrous party that ended Season 2. Waiting outside a gaming store for the latest expansion pack, they encounter the Axis of Anarchy, a rival Guild led by Fawkes (Wil Wheaton, Star Trek: The Next Generation). Vork resigns in shame, leaving Codex (Felicia Day) in charge of keeping the Guild together in the face of Axis of Anarchy’s efforts to destroy them. Will the Guild members overcome their differences to survive?

December

After unexpectedly meeting Fawkes for a post-match drink (and sleeping with him), Codex begins Season Four contemplating whether or not she should tell the Guild about what happened. Meanwhile, Vork makes the decision that the Knights of Good should obtain their own Guild Hall, a newly-implemented (and costly) feature that came with the expansion released at the start of Season Three. Initially, the fact that the type of Hall they want – called the “Deluxe Castle” – would require them to raise half a million gold puts the Guild off the idea… but when Codex offhandedly mentions that the Axis of Anarchy are planning to get their own, the Guild’s collective opinion quickly swings in favour of the venture. This DVD includes all 12 episodes from Season 4, along with the hit music video “Game On!” and exclusive bonus material not available on the Internet.

dennou coil part 2 3d 125x 1 Part (??) of Siren Visuals November and December Line up RevealedDennou Coil – Part 2
Imagine if the internet was ‘projected’ over the living world and you interacted with it using a portable device – glasses and visors which connect you to an augmented reality. In 2026, this technology becomes reality… Yuko Okonogi moves with her family to Daikoku, home of an ever expanding tech network which makes up the interactive virtual world. Her grandmother runs an agency to investigate missing children who appear to have vanished from the ‘real’ world and entered the city’s Dennou – literally meaning “electric brain” – a term used to differentiate between the virtual and ‘real’. A hacker culture is emerging amongst the children of the city. Yasako is soon introduced to Isako, whose powers for hunting computer viruses known as ‘illegals’ belie an agenda that might have sinister motives.

As you can see, nothing really unique or new announced so far, but it goes to show their dedicating to the more unique titles such as Dennou Coil, which alongside titles such as Ghost Hound are perhaps a bit more serious then most animes. Just for the record, one of the first reviews upcoming will be of The Tower of Druaga Collection… so do look forward to it.
