Remember more then a month ago when I mentioned that Nippon Ichi Software revealed a new “mystery title” to be developed by the Prinny Team and all they provided was essentially the concept art to the left? Well, it seems that they have now released more information about the game.
The game will be titled “The Witch and the Hundred Cavalrymen” and is slated for release on the Playstation 3 in Spring 2012 for Japan, with no current international release date set.
It is going to be a “dark fantasy action RPG” with an open and seamless world with no transitions between either field or town. Essentially, this will be a sandbox style of game where whilst there is a main storyline, you can feel free to do what you what with a lot of freedom. There is due to be a main story of around 30 hours and a tonne of sub-quests which should keep you pre-occupied and no game over, instead with the little penalty of losing your items. To add a bit more diversification, you can choose the path of good or evil. Something a bit more confusing however is that apparently you control the 100 cavalrymen instead of the witch.
Graphic wise, it is set to be in full 3D and hopefully much much better then the graphic design of Last Rebellion (Yes, I am aware that was developed by Hit Maker over NIS) and is set from a third person perspective (and set from above). There is also going to be blood… but not to the point of it being grotesque.
